Greetings Prospective Parents,

Energy Core Swimming offers swim lessons to teach your children the fundamentals of swimming, as well as water safety. 

Our lessons feature one-on-one instruction for twenty minutes per session three days a week. Sessions will take place on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday.  Because we are offering 12 sessions for $190/month, there will be no make-up sessions. Twenty minute time slots are available starting at 5:30 with the final session beginning at 7:40. The full list of time-slots is displayed on the registration page.

Tier 1 – First Time Swimmers and Water Safety

Concepts

  • Water Safety
    • Understanding that they should not get into the water without permission from their instructor
    • Helping the child feel comfortable in the water
  • Floating (Assisted and/or with Noodle)

  • Kicking
    • On wall (seated)
    • On wall (in water)

    • Submerge while holding onto wall

Tier 2 – Introduction to Freestyle

Tier 3 – Introduction to Backstroke

    • Beginning to roll head to side to breathe
  • Backstroke
    • Able to float on back without sinking
    • Able to kick on back without sinking
    • Begin to make arm circles to move through the water
  • Kicking

Tier 4 – Introduction to Breaststroke

    • 3 Strokes per breath
    • Beginning to roll from side to side
  • Backstroke
    • Able to float on back without sinking
    • Able to kick on back without sinking
    • Making to make arm circles to move through the water
    • Begin to develop canoe position
    • Begin to roll from side to side
  • Breaststroke
    • Forming breaststroke kick on land ‘Up-Out-Around’
    • Begin to understand the arms ‘Ice Cream Scoop and Grab More’

Tier 5 – Introduction to Butterfly
